‘Blue Skies’ is a very spacious (130 M²) apartment, situated in a private secure gated residence of L’Orée de Vence, only 10 minutes’ walk to the beautiful medieval town of Vence.
Enjoy a large communal residents-only swimming pool with children’s paddling pool, table tennis and boules area, as well as beautifully maintained gardens.
Blue Skies’ has an allocated parking place right outside the front door, plus there is a free shuttle bus from the Residence entrance to the town centre on a regular basis, if you don’t feel like walking. It is also very well connected by public transport to Nice and surrounding areas.
Vence is situated just a short 20 minute drive from Nice airport and is only 10 km from the nearest beaches, and yet is far enough inland to provide a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the French Riviera coast.
Nice, Cannes, Antibes and Monaco are all within 45 minutes drive, or travel using the regular public transport system. Inland there are numerous places to visit including, Gorge du Loup (19 Km), Gorge du Verdon, Parc national du Mercantour (Alps), and numerous charming ancient perched villages for you to explore.
Vence is a beautiful historic town boasting a breathtaking backdrop of the Alps, with fresh spring water fountains feeding the city, and home to a wealth of superb restaurants, bars, and cafes. It has an historic old town and there are different market days selling everything from antiques, fashion, to local produce.
Vence has inspired many famous artists and attractions include the Matisse Chapel (designed by Henri Matisse), the Notre Dame Cathedral (France's smallest), and the Musée de Vence. In the summer the streets are full of music whilst Vence hosts the famous ‘Nuits de Sud’ concerts each weekend during the summer. A perfect day can be relaxing in Place du Grand Jardin in Vence at one of the beautiful cafes eating the speciality bakery Craquelin (almond topped brioche) and breath in the views.
The extremely popular and historic town of St Paul de Vence is only a short 7 minute drive away, or travel by #655 bus. Or alternatively visit the lovely perched village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup only 10 minutes drive, which is blessed with several highly rated restaurants and bars.
